Almost $11,000 raised in one day from Salvation Army red kettles by Rotary volunteers.
Well we did it everyone, we CRUSHED the Salvation Army one day, one location bell ringing record for Big Rapids in the history of ALL TIME!

Between donations at both doors in front of Walmart and matching donations by local businesses, the total of $10,765 exceeded the record of $7,000 set last year. We also out performed two other local Rotary Clubs (one in Michigan and one in Wisconsin) who challenged us to a bell ringing contest.  Even though those clubs were much larger than the Big Rapids Rotary Club, the generosity of the Big Rapids community is amazing and heart warming.

Great job everyone, truly, thanks very much.  Was a chilly day, but great day, and a special thanks to all the spouses, children and other folks that pitched in.
